Party Coverage: Scene City: The Ravenous Parties of London Fashion Week

In the British capital for the first time in 11 years to stage an Emporio Armani show (and to celebrate a face-lift of the brand’s Bond Street store), Mr. Armani treated guests to storming performances by the pop-star Ellie Goulding and the 1980s band a-ha (remember them?) in a vast purpose-built nightclub filled with low leather couches, lilac uplighting and distractingly handsome male models.

Less than 24 hours later, plenty of those (Lucky Blue Smith and Presley Gerber, we were looking at you) were also to be found at the Love magazine party at Loulou’s nightclub.

Miu Miu was a co-host, and the galactic disco-themed party drew a crowd that included the singer Rita Ora, the Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton and models including Cara Delevingne, Gigi Hadid, Lara Stone, Adwoa Aboah and Jourdan Dunn.

They were joined by some unexpected guests: Muppets. No, not your usual glazed-eyed fashion week groupies, the actual muppets, led by Miss Piggy, who was listed on the invitation as a host and was at pains to stress that she worked with Katie Grand, Love’s editor in chief, for the better part of a decade.

Looking resplendent in pink marabou Miu Miu, Miss Piggy held court amid furry-faced friends like Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear and Derek Blasberg, while the British cross-dresser and D.J. Jodie Harsh spun tunes.
